The Bear, the Llama and the Butterfly

The butterfly is the “Morpho helenor prometaor” a subspecies of Morpho helenor. The scientists named it “prometa”, in gratitude to PROMETA for its support and in recognition of its contribution to the conservation of biological diversity in Bolivia.

PROMETA formulates with the communities and the municipality of Yunchará, a repopulation strategy of llama in the Tarija highlands.

The Tremarctos ornatus, the Jucumari bear, exists in Tarija, it is still possible to recover and increase this natural heritage and reduce the vulnerability of this endangered species
